Noko Maleka

Noko Maleka is a South African journalist, broadcaster, producer, author, and Public Relations & Marketing Specialist based in Johannesburg. He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of InsightJoziNews.org, an independent digital news platform dedicated to covering community news, current affairs, business, politics, entertainment, and stories that promote positive social change across South Africa.

With a career spanning journalism, broadcasting, public relations, and strategic communications, Noko has built a reputation for community-focused storytelling and media leadership. He has worked as a Broadcaster and Producer at Otee FM, a Radio Broadcaster at Mzansi Joburg City FM, and a Broadcaster and Producer at 1 Africa Radio TV, where he has hosted programmes covering current affairs, entrepreneurship, business, African affairs, and community development.

Beyond broadcasting, Noko has worked closely with entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout Johannesburg's inner city, providing public relations and marketing support to strengthen local brands, improve visibility, and contribute to economic development.

Noko is also the author of the book If You Knew What I Know, which reflects his commitment to sharing knowledge, leadership, and personal growth through storytelling. He independently produced the documentaries Hillbrow: False Narrative and Homelessness Is Instituted, exploring social realities in Johannesburg's inner city. These documentaries were produced independently and have not been broadcast on public media platforms yet.

Education

Noko Maleka completed his National Senior Certificate (Matric) at Harry Oppenheimer High School in 2002. He went on to earn a National Diploma from Tshwane University of Technology in 2007 before completing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations at the University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2021.

His academic background, combined with years of professional experience, has equipped him with expertise in journalism, media production, strategic communications, public relations, digital marketing, and community engagement.
